About the Thunder Cup

The Thunder Cup is Okanagan Thunder’s signature spring hockey event — bringing together top‑tier A/AA teams from across British Columbia for a weekend of exciting competition and community. Hosted in the Okanagan Region, the tournament gives youth athletes an unforgettable experience both on and off the ice — showcasing sportsmanship, skill, and the true Thunder spirit. Now in its second year, the Thunder Cup continues to grow — offering a competitive, family‑friendly atmosphere that celebrates the best of spring hockey in BC.

  • Round‑robin play with playoffs on final day

  • 3‑game minimum guarantee (4 if schedule allows)

  • Stop‑time periods; OT/shootout for playoffs

Rules & Officiating

  • BC Hockey & Hockey Canada rules enforced

  • Zero‑tolerance for abuse of officials

  • Emphasis on sportsmanship and safety
